About this blog

LAN Parties.

That's a big one.

Pretty sweet, right? Get together with your friends, hang out, and play games until your eyes roll out of your head.

What you need for a LAN Party:

  • People (you and your friends)
  • Computers (who doesn't have one these days?)
  • Router(s) (you probably already have one of these too)
  • Time (a precious resource. Hint: sacrifice sleep, gain more time!)
  • Space (usually a basement)
  • Games
That last one is where I come in. You can't have a LAN party if you don't have games to play! And games cost money (usually).
Fortunately, there are many free LAN party games available. All you have to do is download them, install them, and let the LAN party begin!

On this site, I will try to give you a list of the free game options you have, organized by genre. Also, I will give you my opinion on the games, to help you figure out what's worth the time and what's not.

Let the games begin!

  1. HOLY GRAHAM CRACKERS, BATMAN! Pro Race Driver still works! Maybe better than ever. 12 player, LAN ONLY, no single player. Haven't test IP across the net yet. http://www.fileplanet.com/126240/120000/fileinfo/Pro-Race-Driver-Multiplayer-Demo

    1. I'm afraid I can't be of much help to you, since I do not own that game. Although perhaps another reader will know more.

Would this thread be helpful to you at all?

  3. Not sure if this is the best way to get in touch, but I've got a free LAN game at ralphchapin@wordpress.com: Tracks, Turrets, Armor, and Attitude. It's a fighting strategy game. Each player gets a bunch of tanks--they can design their own tank and pick their own mix for their army--and tries to take control of the battlefield. Sort of Real Time Tactics. Any number of teams. Any number of players on a team. Any player can be AI. Written in Java: runs anywhere. Might be of interest here.
